The park is home to a remarkable 13 primate species, including the much localized red colobus and the L’Hoest’s monkey. The opportunities to truck habituated chimpanzees and watch them as they wrangle and play in the trees represents Kibale’s major tourist attractions especially with its network of shady forest trails. Located in the west, near fort portal, the 759sq km national park has 335 bird species.
