Lake Mburo National Park

The park has approximately 313 different bird species, including Uganda’s national emblem, the crested crane. It also boasts of 68 different mammal species, offering a refreshing stop over with its gigantic eland antelope species, zebra Topi impala and several acacia- associated birds. Its extensive acacia woodland has markedly different fauna to other parks and reserves. Note that the five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds. The 371sq km park is located in Mbarara, western Uganda.
